The Greek Deputy migration Minister Georgios Koumoutsakos has defended the actions of his country against migrants at the border with Turkey. "What we are witnessing is a danger to our national security and the European borders," said Koumoutsakos of the German newspaper "Welt am Sonntag".

"We had to find a Balance between international law and the protection of our borders. This is a narrow ridge. But I think we managed to find a reasonable solution", said the Greek government representative.
