The former executive director of the company, Top-Toy, who until recently was the company behind the legetøjskæden Cousin BR, is dead.

Peter Gjørup, as he was called, was 49 years old, before he lost the fight to cancer.

Peter Gjørup was the grandson of the founder Børge Rasmussen, who opened the first toy store in Roskilde in 1950.

the Family tells in their obituary that Peter Gjørup was a natural talent in computers and IT. As just at the age of 11 he sold his first video game he had programmed, and before he was 14, he had developed more than ten games that were sold more than 50,000 copies.

Even began Peter Gjørup his career in the corporate IT department in 1992, where over the years he among other things was the IT and logistikdirektør.

He was, however, later become head of the entire store, when in 2009 he could put himself on the post of executive director. The post held until the family behind the Top-Toy, the company sold in 2016.
