The criticized managing director Markus Kompp no longer has a future at the third division soccer team SV Waldhof Mannheim. The club's supervisory board unanimously decided not to extend the contract, which expires on June 30, 2025, the Mannheim-based company announced on Monday. It was also said that the committee was working “intensively on a solution in the interests of all those involved” so that the contract could be terminated by mutual consent at an earlier point in time.
Kompp has been working for SV Waldhof since 2016. Most recently, many fans loudly called for Kompp's expulsion at the Mannheim general meeting.
