Right at the beginning of the new year, the winter training camp for the second division football team FC St. Pauli is coming up. The team of the new head coach Fabian Hürzeler is traveling to Benidorm for a week this Monday. The Kiezclub was already a guest on the Spanish Costa Blanca at the beginning of 2022. Hamburg will once again start the trip together with Werder Bremen, but the brown and whites announced the initially planned test against SVW on January 4th. Instead, there will be a test against FC Lugano in Benidorm on January 7 (2:00 p.m.).

Further preparatory games for the second half of the 2nd division season are scheduled for January 14th at Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach and on January 21st at the Millerntor Stadium against Danish first division side FC Midtjylland. The second half of the season for FC St. Pauli will then start on January 29 (1.30 p.m. / Sky) at 1. FC Nuremberg.
