2022 work calendar in Valencia: where is the holiday for San Juan and next summer bridges

Summer is here and with it, the holidays. A long-awaited time of year in which we must also take a look at the 2022 work calendar, because during the next few weeks the Valencian Community will experience a new holiday that, in addition, will serve as a bridge when Friday falls.

It is June 24, the day on which the feast of San Juan is celebrated. A magical day with special dedication to the Bonfires of Alicante, but which for several years has been included in the list of regional holidays approved by the Generalitat Valenciana.

Thus, the 2022 work calendar in Valencia marks this day as a non-working day, paid and non-recoverable, not like in previous years when workers did have to return the hours later.

In this way, San Juan is added to the list of twelve holidays for labor purposes with the aim of promoting the cultural and tourist value of the Bonfires of Alicante. However, it will not be the only day off from work in the Valencian Community, since Monday, August 15, the Assumption of the Virgin is commemorated throughout Spain.

Below is a breakdown of the list with all local, regional and national holidays according to the 2022 work calendar in Valencia.

-June 24, San Juan.

-August 15, Assumption of the Virgin Mary.

-October 12, National Holiday of Spain.

-November 1, Feast of All Saints.

-December 6, Constitution Day.

-December 8, day of the Immaculate Conception.
